Still Life, 2000

Performance
Visual Research Centre, Dundee Contemporary Arts, Dundee

Performance over 2 days, where the artist used pinhole cameras to take over the role of the artist. Each camera had multiple pinholes to obtain a moving perspective of a still object. This allowed the camera to create its own narrative, causing the object to come alive. The artist attempted to be an object during the camera’s period of exposure to light.(about 30 mins). The resulting photographs were developed in the gallery, by the artist and pinned to the gallery¬† walls, with the date, time and length of exposure.
